Programs

GPRA works in two major areas, supporting GP registrars and promoting general practice as a specialty and career of choice. GPRA has created specific programs to further these aims.  

GP registrars face many challenges during their training, GPRA has addressed two issues that are central to their success with special initiatives, providing exam preparation resources at www.oer.org.au and strategies for personal resilience at www.rcubed.org.au.

GPRA’s active involvement in promoting general practice as a specialty and a career of choice led to the creation of GPSN to encourage engagement with general practice among medical students. While the First Wave Scholarship provides a program of workshops and experience with the depth to provide real insight into a career as a general practitioner.
